See Haifa places: German Colony December Lights
A visit to Haifa is not complete without exploring the German Colony, and those who do visit take away great memories.
It is located just beneath the Bahai Gardens. It is Haifa’s largest tourist attraction. It is lined with trendy cafes, restaurants, and boutiques.
It is especially beautiful at the night with all the festive lights and street atmosphere. Thank you to Lara Semenova for her photos of the German Colony’s street all set up for Hannukah festivities and upcoming winter season celebrations in the town. Tripadvisor reviews about the sight:
You should visit this place twice – daytime and nighttime – it is different, but still keeps its spirit, every house has its big history, try also not only Ben Gurion Ave, but surrounding streets and lanes as well”
“If you love people watching and good food then this is the place to visit. Great selection of cafes, bars, and restaurants catering to everybody”
“Nice area both during the day and after dark. There are lots of restaurants in this area but the best thing about it is that it is right below the Bahai gardens and has the best view of them. During December this area is decorated for the holidays with Christian, Jewish and Muslim symbols and is very special.”
