June 5-6: Haifa Wine Festival: Drink, Eat and Dance!
The annual Haifa Wine festival will take place on 5th and 6th of June. It is the largest wine festival in the north, that features wine, champagne tastings, food stalls with cheese and deli, and live musical performances. Traditionally the event will take place at Haifa Auditorium Park with a great space for stalls and green chill out area.
Wine and food lovers will enjoy the quality products of the Israeli finest wineries and cheese makers. The festival will bring not only local wine producers but also international brands from the USA and Europe.
Visitors will receive a glass of wine at the entrance, pass among the wine stalls with live music on the background and taste any wine and champagne without restriction. Also, it will be possible to buy wine to take home.
One of the participants is Pasek Cellars Winery, producer of fruit wines made from Mount Vernon in Washington State.
“It is the only winery in the USA (established in the 1980s) that produces a commercial quantity of wines from various types of berries. The fruits come from green fields of the perfect harmony of cold and moister, that gives the wine remarkable taste. These wines are imported to Israel since 2017. Last year the Haifa wine festival visitors favored Blackberry Wine that goes well when served with cheese and chocolates. The product is Kosher and is under the supervision of the KSA and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel”, told Daniel Green, the exclusive distributor of Pasek Cellars Winery in Israel.
Last year around 30 winemakers from Israel and abroad took part in the festival. The main objective of the festival is to promote wine culture in Israel, in the north.
“It is a celebration of good wine and food, that we Israelis love so much. The festival is one of the highlights of Shavuot celebrations in Haifa. It is a great time to invite friends, enjoy time together, listen to live music and do a bit of dancing if you like. Plus, you will get to taste so many different wines of Israeli wineries, that are becoming more and more popular in the world. It is a great way to get a taste of Israel for international tourists as well. Israel has much to offer for the world wine culture”, said Aaron Donadey, the president of VPL Group, production company, and the producer of the festival.
Tickets can be bought at *9300.
